What are cookies?

Cookies we use

• _ga / _ga_* (Google Analytics) — distinguishes users and sessions. Expires up to 2 years.
• _gid (Google Analytics) — distinguishes users. Expires after 24 hours.
• Theme & notice preferences (local storage) — remembers your light/dark choice and cookie-notice dismissal. Stays until you clear your browser storage.

Managing and disabling cookies

You can control cookies in several ways:

• Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to stop Google Analytics on every site you visit.
• Use your browser settings to block or delete cookies, or browse in private/incognito mode. Most browsers let you refuse cookies under Settings → Privacy.
• Enable your browser’s “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal, which we honor for analytics where supported.

Blocking analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use the site. Blocking strictly necessary storage may reset preferences like your theme choice.
